Courses of Study

Diploma of Biblical Studies:

• This is a three-year program that includes a chronological and systematic Bible study from Genesis to Revelation and 12 major doctrines. (96 Old Testament Lessons, 96 New Testament Lessons, and 96 Theology Lessons).
• A student must satisfactorily complete all the homework and examinations.

Diploma of Church Ministries:

• This is a four-year program that includes all of the above with more intensive homework assignments, additional classes, and internship.
• You must be a member of Capital Baptist Church to participate.
• A student must satisfactorily complete all the homework and examinations.

Certificate of Attendance:

• This is a three-year program that covers the same material as the Diploma of Biblical Studies for students who desire to attend the classes, but do not want to do the homework assignments or take the examinations. The student will receive a grade of Complete (CMP) for the ungraded coursework.
• This requires attending 14 of the 16 sessions each semester.

Textbooks

• Textbooks will be stocked and sold by the Institute as deemed necessary by the President.
• Books must be paid for in full at the time of receipt and may be shared by immediate family members.
• All students must make a one-time purchase of the basic required texts.
• Students desiring the Diploma of Church Ministries will be required to purchase additional books every semester.

Exams / Tests

• Exams will be given each semester in each course based on a schedule.
• Each professor has the discretion to add additional exams or quizzes as they deem necessary.
• Exams are graded and returned to the student within two weeks of receipt.

Application Policy

  • First Time Students:   must complete an Application for Admission (Registration) form online along with a $25.00 non-refundable application fee.   APPLY TODAY:   The student will be notified when their application is approved and they will be required to pay the semester tuition and any other fees by the first class session.

  • Returning Students:  must complete a Registration form online.   REGISTER TODAY:   The $25.00 fee for a Student Guide is due with your registration.

Dress Policy

The Capital Bible Institute requires neat and modest dress by each student.

  •   Shorts and tank tops are not allowed.

Course Withdrawal

Every effort is made by the Institute to assist the student in completion of the course work. However, if a student needs to withdraw from a semester of study, please inform us by submitting a statement of WITHDRAWAL to the administrator.
